Amy has been in Nashville since 1992 where she graduated from Vanderbilt. She began her career in the advertising/pr field as Video Producer and Editor. After many years of traveling and creating videos and film, she married Bryan Shaffer in 2000 and they had three children, Chloe, Tav and Senna. Amy spent those years in a variety of jobs- video editing for high profile client's and event projects, volunteering in school leadership and fostering community in the schools and then she decided to begin a career in real estate. Alongside her husband who is proprietor of Shaffer Homes, they realized Nashville's many real estate opportunities in building, renovating, buying and selling homes. After being urged by an industry veteran, Amy joined Parks in 2018 and became a diligent student of the profession. Amy took training seriously, which Parks does as well, and she attended Ninja Training for Real Estate and Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) program in her first year. Amy was chosen as Parks' Rookie of the Year for Green Hills for 2019. She values her clients and with her extensive knowledge and experience of the home building process, she realizes the importance of making sure her Buyers and Sellers understand the full transaction process and all that home ownership entails. Specializing in both new construction and older historic homes, Amy represents her clients in real estate transactions as if this were the biggest purchase of their lives- because it is! Whether you are moving across the country or down the street (that happens a lot in Nashville), Amy is ready to help you get to where you and your family want to be.

Your Local Real Estate Agent

Some people are very casual when it comes to signing papers that affect their finances for decades. But for those who recognize that small steps early in the game can affect major outcomes later, it's fortunate that there are professionals who dedicate themselves to learning about the process and local market conditions, and who can turn a nightmare of stress and confusion into a relatively painless experience (let's be honest).

I'm an educated professional with a few years of experience in this market, and I think I've seen almost every trick and turn of the industry already. I've also had intimate experience with properties in most of these neighborhoods, making me an invaluable person to talk to when it comes to relocation to or within this area. I'm confident that I can save you not only tens of thousands of dollars, but a great deal of time and emotional energy as well.

But I'm not simply a piece of hardware you can point at a house. I'm a human who laughs and smiles, and I'll take the time to find out what you really need most from me as a professional real estate agent. If you would like to know anything about my services, or if you'd like to hear about the local market from a human voice, please contact me at your convenience.
